The theme for the month was ‘More about Me’. The children learnt about how each one of them are unique, but yet at the same time, how they must learn to respect and value others. They learnt the importance of thinking about others, especially those who are not as fortunate as them in terms of money, resources or even physical abilities.

A highlight was a visit to a school for the deaf and dumb. Our children learnt to interact with the children there. They sang a couple of songs for them and put up a dance. After that they all ate some snacks together. It was a great learning experience for our children. For many of them this was the first time they were interacting so closely with children who were different from them, but yet learning how they too are special and have their own unique talents and gifts.

As the end of the year is approaching, the children are moving at a faster pace with their academics as well. The nursery children are learning the sounds of the various letters, JKG is learning to write alphabets and blend 3-4 letter words and SKG is concentrating on rhyming words and blending sounds.
