Our theme for the month of September was Kerala. The children learnt a lot about the beautiful state that they live in. They made a few Kerala snacks with coconut. They had fun doing crafts with coconut leaves and other indigenous local materials. They enjoyed making a huge race boat together.
Another highlight was Teacher’s Day. The SKG children got to be teachers for the day. They taught the JKG and Nursery children – phonics, craft and exercise!
The Kindergarten children have almost finished learning all the cursive letter and have learnt to count in 2s. The JKG children are getting more familiar with the phonics sounds and the nursery children are concentrating on pre-writing skills with different lines and patterns.
