Convert your Child’s Room into a Play City

During this time of being at home, one is constantly having to find ways and means of keeping children entertained.

Here’s something fun to do with your children that will keep them playing in their rooms for hours and even days together.

All you need is coloured tape and a pair of scissors. This is a very simple activity and your children will enjoy the process as well as the end result! (If you don’t have tape at home, you can order this set from amazon.)

Ask your children what they want in their city. And start making roads, a river, a construction site, houses, a zoo, a park, etc. by using tape to demarcate spaces on the floor. If you want, you can plan it first on paper. But we improvised as we went along. You can use a small area or do the whole room. We did it over two days.

The best thing about this, is that your children can use their different toys and create a whole world of their own. They can use animals, lego, duplo, blocks, jenga, cars, construction vehicles, rocks, barbies, etc. to make it more interesting.

Cleaning is easy too. You can just sweep and mop over the tape.

This is great for imaginative play and it works for single children as well as siblings.
