Annual Day December 2016

It was a very special occasion on the 18th December 2016 as all the students of Kid’s Joy School participated in their Annual Day celebrations. Parents and well-wishers of the school gathered together at Jubilee Hall in Thevara at 5.30 p.m. to witness how much the children had grown in the last academic year.

The Annual Day programme began on time with Mrs. Annie George welcoming the parents and guests. She invited the child MCs to the stage. Nitya, Reyaansh, Ayn and Niyantra announced with élan and wowed the audience with their presentation skills and clarity in speaking.

Students from the Sr.K.G class presented a dance to the song ‘God made me special.’ The students of Jr.K.G presented an action song ‘Welcome to the family’ while the tiny tots of Nursery won everyone’s hearts with their number ‘O What a Special Night!’

The Chairman of Kid’s Joy School’s Trust, Arun Philip addressed the gathering and shared the message of Christmas with them.

Students of K.G jointly presented a drama on the story of Christmas in an innovative way. The stage turned into a place where the small dolls representing Mary, Joseph, the Shepherds, the three Wise Men and the Angel came to life out of a special gift box. The students did the part of Mr. Gopakumar, Mrs. Lekha, the children and the characters of the Christmas story very convincingly much to the delight of the audience.

A video was presented on the year-long activities that were organized during the academic year 2016-17. Another video showed the parents of Kid’s Joy students giving feedback and expressing how much the school has helped and benefitted their child.

The last presentation for the day was a special dance medley. This medley showed the dances of 4 states including Arunachal Pradesh, Kerala, Rajasthan and Punjab. The stage was lit up with the dazzling dancers, their ethnic costumes and jewellery with bright colours. The dancers performed well and made their teachers and parents proud of them.

Every child was given a special Christmas Gift on this occasion. Another bonus for the children and the parents was the Photo Booth where every child could take pictures along with his or her parents and record a video too for remembrance.

As the day’s celebrations came to an end, there was joy and cheer in the air and every child was seen smiling and happy for having done their part in the programme very well. The teachers, volunteers and the management of the school were happy to see that their hard work and perseverance had paid off!

We will be uploading the videos and pictures soon.
