On January 15th, we celebrated our Annual Day cum Graduation Ceremony in Kids Joy School. We were honoured to have Mrs Sasikala, our Ward counsellor as our chief guest.
Every child in the school from Nursery to Senior KG was involved in either a song, dance or skit. Our theme was Unity in Diversity.
We started with our Nursery children doing a choreography to a song, thanking and acknowledging God, in whose hands we are safe and secure. Our Junior and Senior KG children then danced to a medley that comprised of songs of different languages.
This was followed by a skit that highlighted the importance of how each of us is unique and different and how we need to accept and honor one another. Even though we are from different backgrounds and speak different languages with different faiths, we need to respect one another.
At the end we had the Graduation Ceremony for our Senior KG children with our chief Guest giving the certificates.
The programme ended with our Senior KG children singing a thank you song – thanking parents, grandparents and teachers for all they did to help them finish the year. It was very emotional for the teachers who taught them as well as for the parents, seeing their little ones graduate from their first school!
It was a wonderful event and we are so proud of each of our students who participated and performed so well on stage.
