October 2016 - The Month Gone By

This month our theme was ‘All about me’. The children learnt not just the different parts of their bodies like hand, foot, ears, etc. but also the internal organs and the role they play to make our bodies function normally!

Each class had fun making a life size model of a child their age and colouring in their clothes and giving them a face and hair!

They also enjoyed making replica’s of their own faces.

They learnt about their five senses through practical lessons where they got to taste, feel, smell, listen and touch.

They also learnt about hygiene, how to look after their bodies, brush their teeth etc. They really enjoyed the craft, where they had to practice brushing!

Conversation time was interesting where they learnt to answer basic questions about themselves – their name, age, school, etc.

Show and Tell was exciting – once the children brought a doll from their home and spoke about it and the other time they brought an object with a smell.

They enjoyed playing various games and their favourite was bowling, where they learnt coordination skills.

Two other fun events that happened in school this month was the clay competition where their creative skills came out, and the outing to Kumblam, where the children enjoyed travelling by boat and enjoying nature.
